Category C: Research and Innovation Award
This category recognizes alumni contributions toward the development of theory and practice within their fields of study and professional expertise. This includes innovative research resulting in academic publications, white papers to support critical policy discussions, and conference proceedings manuscripts.
Eligibility
Domestic and overseas scholarship alumni holding masters or PhD degrees (excluding MBAs) or who are otherwise employed or involved in formal research and development (R&D) activities. The applicant should submit published journal articles or books, presentations at conferences, accomplish a professional profile and standing within Ras Al Khaimah community and United Arab Emirates (UAE) and worldwide. A research initiative by a scholar that contributes to theory and practice within the field of study. This initiative shows strong relevance to the field with the potential for impact of research or innovation practice.
Application Process
Open to nominations and direct applications. Complete submissions include: online application form, cover or nomination letter, academic/professional CV with publication and conference presentation records, copy of published paper or dissertation. Priority given to research that focuses on Ras Al Khaimah and the UAE, especially those that include Ras Al Khaimah as a site of data collection.
Award Inclusions
Each award includes a 15,000 AED honorarium.
Number of Awards
The award is open for two (2) researchers or scholars annually.
