What Qualifications and Universities are Approved for Scholarship Support?

Applicants are welcome to pursue any academic program or professional qualification that aligns best with their professional career goals. However, the Government of Ras Al Khaimah has identified a number of key disciplines and related programs as priorities in order to achieve the emirate’s vision for the future. Eligible scholarship applicants who gain admission to a prioritized qualification at an approved domestic or overseas university will receive preference for potential awards.

Approved Overseas Universities & Degree Programs

Universities within the top 200 institutions globally, as defined by the most recent QS World University Rankings, are eligible for overseas scholarship consideration. Preference is given to universities located in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and United States, and those on the approved Ministry of Education (MOE) overseas scholarship list. Scholarship priority is also shown to students who have identified degrees where a similar topic or quality program is unavailable in the UAE.

Overseas bachelor and doctoral degree applicants must secure primary scholarship funding from the MOE to be eligible for an award through the Scholarship Office.
Overseas master degree applicants are encouraged to seek primary scholarship funding from the MOE. However, those with unconditional admission to a top 100 university globally are potentially eligible for full scholarship support through the Scholarship Office.
